The Home of the 3rd Millennium exhibition

The projects selected in the competition, 5 winning prototypes and 20 honourable mentions, are set up in a "nomadic" exhibition underway at the Urban Center in Prato.
Halfway between domestic and urban space, the exhibition installation is by designer Gilberto Corretti, founder of the Archizoom Associati Group and curator of the fourth edition of La Casa del III Millennio (The Home of the 3rd Millennium).

Visitors proceed along a continuous route made up of graphic elements and chromatic scales inspired by the worlds of design, architecture, crafts and technology, in which the prototypes are chaotically arranged. The decorations in the space, halfway between street art and urban decoration, were created by Bunker108.

The apparent chaos in which the objects are immersed is a metaphor of contemporary society, making it possible to present them as distinct realities designed to respond to certain requirements of everyday living while reflecting the values of ethics, sustainability, respect for the environment and reduction of consumption: essential elements of the "new pleasures of the home" that are the theme of the 4th edition.
