The forests are amongst us

Our relationship with forests is incredibly intense, although we may well not even realise it. An innovative exhibition at the Circolo del Design in Turin - ‘May Contain Traces of Forest’ - explores how the relationship that our socio-economic system has established with tree communities can evolve, starting with the creation of new products and materials, then ending by inviting visitors to lend a more attentive ear to the plant world.

Emilio Ferro presents Quantum, an art installation made of light

In order to mark Artissima and in the context of the second edition of Design of Today, curated by cultural association Projec_To, Emilio Ferro exhibited his latest work: QUANTUM. The piece is inspired by Ernst Hartmann’s studies on geomagnetism and the Baroque design of Palazzo Martini di Cigala, designed by Filippo Juvarra in the 18th century. According to the artist, the overlap between these two figures - so dramatically separated in space and time - is light.

S-LAB is the name of the new complex designed for Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN) by architectural studio ELASTICOFarm and built in the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche area. De Ferrari Architetti Circolo della Stampa Sporting ATP Finals Turin

De Ferrari Architetti restored and reclaimed Turin’s historic Circolo della Stampa Sporting, with the 1943 clubhouse designed by architect Domenico Morelli. The structure was used as the extended headquarters of the Nitto ATP finals, the tennis tournament the Italian city will be hosting until 2025.
