On the 150th anniversary of the birth of architect Frank Lloyd Wright, MoMA and the Guggenheim Museum in New York are presenting exhibitions and events dedicated to one of the most important architects of the 20th century.
From 24 May to 15 October 2017, London's Design Museum is running the exhibition called “California: Designing Freedom” that for the first time explores how the ideals of the 1960s counterculture have transformed into the high-tech culture of Silicon Valley.
The FAB (Fiandre Architectural Bureau, Castellarano) presents the exhibition “Alvaro Siza. Viagem Sem Programa”, until 7th July. Drawings and objects recount the more private and less well-known side of the Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza. The exhibition can be viewed by appointment.
The exhibition, which will open on 29th June at the IUAV University of Venice celebrates the work of Giorgio Casali. A journey through over thirty years of the history of Italian architecture and design, with a wide selected of photographs signed “foto Casali Domus”.
Everything began at Maxxi in Roma! It was the first building that Zaha Hadid designed in Italy, and it is here that an exhibition has recently opened showing the architect’s relationship with the country.
