Bjørnådal Arkitektstudio designs Community Landscape in Tromsø

A 30-metre-long wooden construction winding between the trees and the natural setting: Community Landscape is a huge grandstand and the biggest art installation in the city of Tromsø. Commissioned by the municipality and designed by Bjørnådal Arkitektstudio, the artwork becomes a part of the natural landscape and a meeting-point for the community.

The memory of the countryside as an attraction, Imprint by Hu Quanchun

Designer Hu Quanchun of Field Conforming Studio is the author of an unusual public artwork entitled Imprint. It depicts a section of a muddy country road complete with rural footprints. Made of Corten steel, he designed it for the first OCT Fab Public Art Festival, held in the Fab Town theme park in Xiangyang. BIG Marsk Tower, a new landmark for the Wadden Sea National Park in Denmark

The Marsk Tower is a project designed by the BIG architecture firm. It is a new landmark constructed in the famous Wadden Sea National Park, the protected natural area on the south-west coast of the Jutland peninsula, in Denmark, which has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 2014. The tower is a fascinating new viewpoint over the landscape of the national park. An impressive 25 meters high, it has no architectural barriers thanks to the elevator in its core, which enables everyone to enjoy the spectacular panoramic view.

Architecture and Landscape in harmony, in the new 2021 Norwegian Scenic Route projects

The Norwegian Scenic Routes attraction is continuing to make headway despite the challenges associated with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The routes that currently unwind through the beautiful and evocative Norwegian landscapes, offering visitors a mix of nature and architecture well integrated into the local context, will see the addition of six new Scenic Route projects to be completed in 2021 and four more that have been announced for the 2022 summer season. By the end of 2023, the Norwegian program will see a total of 190 architectural and artistic installations developed.
