CCD designs Hoiana Hotel & Suites in Vietnam

The Chinese CCD studio has designed the Hoiana Hotel & Suites in Vietnam, in Hoi An, within the new Hoiana Integrated Resort tourist destination. The projects starts from local traditions, to meet the different functional space requirements of people in the contemporary context, creatively introducing new meanings and functions into the space.

The renovation of Casa Hotel in Amsterdam by i29

Casa – as the project is called – was born in Amsterdam in the late 1950s, founded by four friends looking to help solve the shortage of student accommodations. Thanks to the unique hotel and residence mix, the project continues to offer affordable housing for students. The i29 studio has created the new interior design for all 518 hotel rooms, in collaboration with the Lensvelt furniture brand and textile designer Mae Engelgeer.

ANARCHITECT’s Modernist hotel in Sri Lanka

Harding Boutique Hotel opened a few months ago in Ahangama, Sri Lanka. The project by British architect Jonathan Ashmore of ANARCHITECT is the result of close collaboration between the client and the architect, paying tribute to the Sri Lanka Tropical Modernism genre of architecture and its founder Geoffrey Bawa.

Torre Fara, a specimen of Rationalist architecture expertly restored in Chiavari

The town of Chiavari, on the eastern Riviera of the region of Liguria in northwest Italy, is home to a sustainable contemporary restoration of a public works project dating back to the nineteen-thirties. Architect Enrico Pinna planned the building’s rebirth for a group of five entrepreneurs, with a dozen local companies performing the redevelopment work, including a new waterfront promenade as well as restoration of the former Colonia Fara area.

Lissoni Casal Ribeiro The Oberoi Beach Resort - Al Zorah Ajman

Lissoni Casal Ribeiro designed a resort about 45 km from Dubai that goes beyond the concept of the hotel, offering guests the experience of a living community in dialogue with its surroundings, a nature park with lagoons and mangroves by the ocean. The complex is part of a broader masterplan for a town with a population of about 40,000, in which Oberoi Beach Resort is the first area to be completed.

Designing hospitality in Florence - YellowSquare by Pierattelli Architectures

Zuiderzicht, a sustainable tower designed by KCAP and evr-architecten in Antwerp

KCAP, in collaboration with the evr-architecten studio, have completed Zuiderzicht, an 80-metre-tall residential tower in Antwerp, Belgium. The tower is one of the new buildings in the Antwerp Nieuw Zuid district along the Scheldt river and stands out for its iconic double façade and close dialogue with the surrounding environment.
