The building received the 2022 AIA National Education Facility Design Award and is LEED Gold, Net Zero Energy certified.

Mork-Ulnes Architects Skigard Hytte living amid nature in Norway

Skigard Hytte is a mountain cabin in the ski resort of Kvitfjell, Norway. Surrounded by the silence of nature and by wild plants, perched on a spur in the land with panoramic views over the valley and the river below, the cabin was designed by architects Casper and Lexie Mork-Ulnes, founders of the studio that bears their names, as a refuge for their family. The cabin has won numerous international awards and is featured in a short film directed by Filmatica / Juan Benavides.
