The project for reconstruction of the Reggiolo Parish Centre by MAB Arquitectura is a perfect example of how architecture can rebuild and revitalise an entire community, after a disastrous natural event such as the major earthquake that struck the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna in 2012. The project recently received the regional IN/Arch 2023 award.

Park Associati designs People Hub office building in Assago

The new People Hub building, designed by Park Associati, expands the Milanofiori Nord masterplan and is one of the most important buildings of the so-called "cliff", a group of buildings that crown this urban development. From the north-west side, the building's minimalist façade resembles the bow of a ship, a blade of glass and steel that becomes the fulcrum of the architectural composition of the complex.

Maurizio Lai - Light installations and geometries for a restaurant project

Architect Maurizio Lai designed a project characterised by light installations, colours and abstract geometries for an existing building. A basic container with no particular architectural qualities located in the province of Como. The carefully thought out light design, the artistic signs and the scenic effects used to redesign both the façade and the indoor spaces, give the restaurant a distinctive identity that differs from the typical appearance of standardised Asian restaurants.

The winners of the 2020 Italian Architecture Award

On June 30 MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Art hosted the awards ceremony in the first edition of the Italian Architecture Award, promoted by MAXXI and Triennale Milano with the support of the Italian Culture and Tourism Ministry. On the podium, two women architects: Francesca Torzo with "Z33 House for Contemporary Art, Design and Architecture" and Lucy Styles with "Home Sweet Home". Architect Cino Zucchi was awarded an honourable mention for the Lavazza Headquarters, while the Award for Lifetime Achievement went to architect Renzo Piano.
