Winners of the CTBUH 2016 Tall Building Awards

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) has announced the names of the winners of the CTBUH 2016 Tall Building Awards. Awards were presented in seven categories, reflecting the complexity of designing tall buildings, a process involving reconciliation of the requirements of building regulations, the buildings' surroundings, the different functions they provide and their “iconic” status. The seven categories are the Best Tall Building Award, the Urban Habitat Award, the 10 Year Award, the Innovation Award, the Performance Award, the S. Beedle Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Fazlur R. Khan Lifetime Achievement Medal.
The Best Tall Building Award is presented to the best skyscraper in each of the four macro-areas into which the world is divided (Americas, Asia & Australia, Europe, Middle East & Africa). The four regional winners will compete for the status of Best Tall Building Worldwide at the CTBUH 15 ° Annual Awards Symposium, coming up on November 3 2016 at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
