The most popular architectural projects for sports

The year 2016 begins with a focus on architecture for sports, against debate over the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Stadium and growing impatience to see the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and the facilities hosting them, which are still under construction.
In this context, we invite our readers to take another look at some of the sports buildings presented in Floornature: not just Olympic facilities but all the sports-related facilities that have attracted the greatest attention on the portal's social network pages.
We begin our review with the municipal pool in Bagneux, on the outskirts of Paris, designed by architect Dominique Coulon. We then take a look at the water sports Building designed by SPEECH of Moscow for the '2013 Universiade in Kazan, Russia. Another building constructed for world-sports competitions is the London Aquatics Centre, designed by architect Zaha Hadid for the 2012 London Olympics.
Going on to look at sports facilities built in other contexts, we cover BIG's extension for the Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium in Denmark, a building for sports and the arts. Finally, a project that attracted great interest in Livegreenblog is the Singapore Sports Hub, a sustainable sports village designed by DP Architects with ARUP and the landscape architects of Aecom.
