On February 11 MAE+Wine inaugurates the 2016 calendar of events at M.A.E., the showroom and multipurpose space operated by Matimex. The packed schedule of initiatives also includes the second edition of PIAM, an international architecture prize promoted by Matimex with the support of the Fiandre Iris Ceramica Group.
On February 11 2016 Matimex inaugurates the 2016 calendar of events at MAE with MAE-Wine . Matimex’s showroom and multipurpose space not only focuses on the features and technical and aesthetic potential of the Fiandre Iris Ceramica Group’s porcelain products but offers the public a packed calendar of initiatives and workshops combining architecture with themes of cultural and social interest.
The first event is all about architecture and wine, with a focus on buildings which combine various compositional and technical aspects of architectural design with the heritage of culture and perception represented by wine. The day-long event will feature speeches and debates by architects, sommeliers and other professionals discussing the theme and describing their own experiences to the public, with contributions by Jesus Marino Pascual, Ignacio Quemada, Fernando Salas, Relja Ferusic, Alfredo Arribas, Juan Díez Bulnes, Isabel López-Vilalta, Richard Arambarri, César Cánovas, and Enrique Valero.
The event will be followed by MAE+CINEMA and MAE+WOMEN as well as the second edition of PIAM, the international architecture prize promoted by Matimex (PIAM stands for “Premio Internacional de Arquitectura Matimex”) with the support of the Fiandre Iris Ceramica Group and contributions from important architectural organisations and institutions in Valencia.
