Louis Kahn: The Power of Architecture exhibition

The exhibition currently on at the Design Museum in London celebrates one of the most important masters of 20th century architecture, American architect Louis Kahn.

Through a large number of works, architectural models, original designs, sketches, photographs and films, the exhibition takes an in-depth look at each project by the American architect, from the first town planning concepts to single family homes, including major works and also posthumous projects like the Roosevelt Memorial completed in 2012.

A series of interviews with internationally famous architects like Frank Gehry, Renzo Piano, Peter Zumthor and Sou Fujimoto are a testimony to the influence that Louis Kahn had on contemporary architecture.
The main attraction of the exhibition is a 4-metre high model of the Philadelphia City Tower created between 1952 and 1957.
