JDS Architects wins the 2014 Belgian Building Award

Architect Julien De Smedt has won a prestigious international award. On February 26 his architectural practice was presented with the international 2014 Belgian Building Award 2014 in Batibouw.
The award is presented to architectural studios that have built projects in Belgium, or Belgian studios that have built major projects abroad.

JDS Architects has built numerous projects all over the world. One good example is the World Championship Skijump in Oslo, one of the most frequently visited sports facilities in Norway and a key tourist attraction in the city. The studio’s more recent works include the Iceberg Dwellings in Aarhus and, also in Denmark, the Kalvebod Waves project in Copenhagen, redrawing the city’s waterfront to create new public spaces.
