Industrial topography Architecture of Conversions 2005-2015 Prague

The exhibition Industrial topography / Architecture of Conversions 2005-2015 underway at Jaroslav Fragner Gallery in Prague presents thirty different examples of reuse of abandoned industrial sites and buildings. This delicate theme of great importance not only for the industry but for the community as a whole is addressed in a series of events organised on the occasion of the “Vestiges of Industry” International Biennial.
Prepared in collaboration with the Research Centre for Industrial Heritage FACTU, under the leadership of Benjamin Fragner, the exhibition presents a selection of more than thirty architectural projects from the past 10 years (between 2005 and 2015) in the Czech Republic, virtuous examples of reuse of industrial buildings, organised on the basis of their new function (commercial, residential, public buildings, etc.).
The projects featured are integrated in an interactive map, a continuation of a project for mapping Czech architecture which began in 2005, and presented with panels explaining their history and their current situation.
