Campuses and school buildings - best of the week

This week’s best of the week feature focuses on school buildings and campuses presented recently in Floornature.com: though they differ greatly in terms of structures, locations and architectural styles, all these buildings are intended to promote the discussion and sharing of knowledge.

One such case is Kolding Campus in Denmark designed by Henning Larsen Architects, in which, as Mara Corradi observes: “Study is treated as a collective rite, in which everyone learns by observing their neighbours and sharing their ideas”.
The Faculty of Economics at Navarra Pamplona University Campus designed by da Otxotorena is not only a place for socialisation but a clearly visible landmark in the area.
Pies Descalzos School in Cartagena, designed by the studio of Colombian architect Giancarlo Mazzanti, and the Early Childhood Development & Family Centers designed by ASA (Active Social Architecture) for UNICEF were shortlisted for the Next Landmark 2014 prize.
