Graziano Verdi, Chairman and CEO of the GranitiFiandre group and CEO of Iris Ceramica, presents the awards to the Next Landmark contest winner during the Blue Party organised by Floornature in Venice.

Awards ceremony of the first “NEXT LANDMARK 2012” The final event of the Next Landmark international contest organised by Floornature took place very close to the gardens of the Venice Biennale, in the deconsecrated church of Patronato Leone XIII, which formed a suggestive backdrop to the presentation of the winning projects and to the talk show moderated by Luca Molinari, with the participation of the members of the international jury.

During the ceremony to award the winners of the contest, Graziano Verdi, Chairman and CEO of the GranitiFiandre group and CEO of Iris Ceramica stressed that the companies he represents are tracking the proposals and architectural research of the young designers with great interest, transforming them into a product offer that can meet the needs of contemporary society.
One concrete example of this commitment is ACTIVE Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™, the innovative method developed by GranitiFiandre and Iris Ceramica. Sunlight or artificial light triggers the oxidising process of titanium dioxide, in the form of micrometric particles fixed to the Active ceramic tiles at high temperatures, thus creating floor and wall coverings with an active antibacterial action that can also reduce toxic pollutants.
