Architects, Architectures and Projects from Japan the best of the week

Our voyage of discovery of architects, architectures and projects from Japan presented recently in Floornature starts at Expo Milano 2015.
The pavilion designed by Atsushi Kitagawara is one of the most popular pavilions in the international exposition. July 11 was Japan Day, marked with an important parade along the Decumano representing ten traditional festivals from the region of Tohoku.

The exhibition Archi Depot Tokyo underway at Triennale di Milano offers an opportunity to discover the work of 41 Japanese architects, both young professionals and big names on the international architecture scene, through models of their buildings. The architects represented include Kengo Kuma, Arata Isozaki, Tetsuo Furuichi, Shigeru Ban, Koh Kitayama, and Rike Yamamoto.

Floornature has presented a number of Japanese buildings recently, including Shonan Christ Church in Fujisawa designed by architect Takeshi Hosaka, and above all residential buildings such as those built by Tetsuo Kondo Architects in Chayagasaka and Yokohama, and Sengokubara house in Hakone by ;architect Shigeru Ban, the winner of the 2014 Pritzker Prize, whose architecture is the subject of a whole itinerary in Floornature.
