Angela Deuber has won the third arcVision Prize – Women and Architecture

Angela Deuber has won the third arcVision Prize – Women and Architecture. Her School in Thal (Switzerland) drew the attention of the world of architecture to the young Swiss architect in 2014.

The judges, including socio-economic professionals (Shaikha Al Maskari, Vera Baboun, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Samia Nkrumah) as well as architects Odile Decq, Yvonne Farrell (Grafton Architects) Louisa Hutton (Sauerbruch Hutton) Benedetta Tagliabue (Miralles Tagliabue EMBT), Martha Thorne (director of the Pritzker Prize, considered the “Nobel Prize” of architecture) selected the winner out of a shortlist of 21 women architects from 16 different countries, chosen from more than 50 candidacies presented.

Kate Otten (South Africa), Patama Roonrakwit (Thailand) and Samira Rathod (India) were awarded special mentions by the judges. And on the occasion of Expo Milano 2015 the WE-Women for Expo special prizewas presented to Paula Nascimento, who designed the Angola Pavilion.
