Next Landmark Awards Ceremony, SpazioIris Moscow

On December 7 SpazioIris Moscow hosted the awards ceremony for Next Landmark. The international contest promoted by Floornature featured a new formula in its sixth edition, entitled Architectural SKIN.
True to what has always been the contest’s mission, “focusing on studies and unbuilt projects to provide added visibility for new generations of architects and designers, promoting discussion of new proposals and visions for contemporary living”, the new title is linked with an invitation to use the new Dys or “Design Your Slab” technique for printing on ceramic, developed by Iris Ceramica Group. Dys technology permits creation of 100% customised ceramic products; designers can custom design the skin of contemporary dwellings for the inhabitants and have their designs produced in an industrial process.

Broken down into two categories, the sixth edition of Next Landmark concluded with the announcement of the winners: Grégory Lacoua of studio Grégory Lacoua, for “Wonder” in the Architectural Skin category, and Ellevuelle Architetti for “Kinetic Fossils” in the Next Landmark of the Year category.
The prototype slabs made on the basis of the winning projects were exhibited at SpazioIris Moscow during the awards ceremony, which was livened up with traditional Russian costumes and dances.
