Marco Piva Interior Design for Sahrai Milano, London

The Italian architect Marco Piva is behind the interior design of the new London showroom of carpet brand Sahrai Milano. The showroom, in Mayfair, London, will be officially opened on 11th May 2017.

The interior, designed by Marco Piva is simple and functional, an elegant space with predominantly neutral tones: grey, dove and white. The showroom has two floors and 300 m2 of surface area. The ground floor has a large carpet showroom and gives visitors a vision of the whole space right from the main entrance. The area is partially divided by symmetrical curtains used both to display carpets and to hide the reception area and a little meeting area from the view of the street.
The shades the architect has chosen recall the colours that are part of the brand’s tradition and express a refined elegance. Theinterplay of contrasts between the floor, walls and the carpets themselves, create a sophisticated alternating chiaroscuro effect that gives depth to the space.
