Luigi Bussolati, photographer of architecture and light
Luigi Bussolati, photographer of architecture and design objects, studied at Centro Riccardo Bauer in Milan and then in Rome, where he focused on social reporting and set photography for film, television and theatre productions.
Interested in the possibility of representing and expressing light, he conducted his first projects “Akh-Verso la luce” and “Genius Lucis” researching and experimenting with artificial light and its potential for redrawing space and the landscape.

Luigi Bussolati?s projects follow an evolutionary direction. In Akh, he photographs places where there are no people but there are very visible signs of their invasive intervention: hydroelectric power plants in the bowels of the earth.
In Genius Lucis, he uses archaeological artefacts from Sardinia to approach places where the ancients believed life and death came together, from which they drew energy and inspiration. His observation of the link between life and death continues in the microcosm of "S-chiusi", in which the generating light starts off the life story of a seed, because there is no distinction between macrocosm and microcosm, and everything is part of something bigger.
