Italia per Interni #4 exhibition at SpazioFMG Lazzarini Pickering Vudafieri Saverino

“God is in the details”, said Mies van der Rohe. And this sums up the concept behind the exhibition entitled “Lazzarini Pickering | Vudafieri Saverino. IN DETTAGLIO. Italia per Interni #4”, the fourth in the Italia per Interni series of events at SpazioFMGperl'Architettura, Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti’s gallery and showroom.

The exhibition focuses on selected details of projects by two prestigious studios: Lazzarini Pickering Architetti of Rome and Vudafieri-Saverino Partners of Milan, proposed as key elements determining the quality of spaces.
The details featured in the exhibition are those of luxurious interiors (both home and retail) represented through photography, “using a close-up lens to select, reveal and interpret the unique details of six outstanding contemporary interiors”, explains Luca Molinari, scientific director of SpazioFMG and exhibition curator along with Alessandro Benetti.
Matteo Piazza’s photographs for Lazzarini Pickering Architetti and Paolo Valentini and Santi Caleca’s photographs of the work of Vudafieri-Saverino Partners are blown up to create a landscape of images in the Milanese gallery operated by Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti. Two manifesto texts prepared by the architects specifically for the exhibition sum up and clarify the guidelines behind the two studios’ design choices.
