Tadao Ando has designed four flagship stores for the Duvetica Group. The latest addition to the series was opened at the end of October 2011 at Via Santo Spirito 22 in Milan.

A shop on two levels measuring about 220 m2 each, where, as Tadao Ando himself explains, design is "based on concrete materials and highly linear, simple, minimal details".

The plan includes a large open space on the upper level and a showroom on the lower level, all dominated by ultra-light colours: ice and optic white, with high-tech installations on the bare concrete walls, ultra-flat LCD touchscreens and RFID detection systems permitting interactive management of purchases, as well as special screens onto which moving images are projected which can also be seen through the shop window.
