SpazioFMG Nanda Vigo exhibition in Milan

The December 17 opening of "Opere abitate da opere" 1959-1972 (Artworks inhabited by artworks), an exhibition focusing on the figure of architect Nanda Vigo, closes the 2015 calendar of exhibitions and events at SpazioFMG, Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti’s gallery and showroom.
A year after the monographic exhibition on Cini Boeri, SpazioFMG takes a look at another key figure in modern and contemporary architecture in Milan, Nanda Vigo: an important figure on the Italian art scene in the 60s and 70s who worked with many prominent architects and artists, including Giò Ponti and Lucio Fontana.
In the space at Via Bergognone 27, a series of original photographs shows the public six interiors designed by architect Nanda Vigo in the ‘60s and ‘70s, including the “Scarabeo sotto la foglia”(Beetle under a leaf) house (1965-68), with architecture by Giò Ponti and interior design by Nanda Vigo. The designer’s work is documented by a number of original objects from the Nanda Vigo Archives and a series of photographs taken by Aldo Ballo, one of Italy’s best-known design photographers.
