Fab Architectural Bureau Milan New Fiandre Group Creative Space

FAB Architectural Bureau, the Fiandre Group’s new multipurpose exhibition space, was opened on February 14 during Fuorisalone events marking the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.

The interior design by architect Matteo Nunziati is based on the concept of FAB, which is not a classic showroom but a container for ideas with a number of different functions (exhibition, education and reception) available to its target public.
The interior is divided into two main areas: in the first, big cubes inspired by blocks of quarried stone rise up out of the floor, while the second area is made up of a series of different rooms: office, kitchen and bathroom, in which ceramic materials are used in surprising ways. The architect underlines the versatility of the Group’s ceramic products, and particularly the maxi-tiles made by Fiandre and Porcelaingres, which combine a large surface area with a very small thickness, making them the key element in a number of furnishings made in collaboration with prominent Italian design brands.
From May through October FAB Architectural Bureau will host events organised by Floornature’s editorial staff focusing on the connections between architecture, art, food and sustainability.
