Paul Andreu died in Paris at the age of 80 on October 11, 2018. The architect, engineer, writer and painter was known primarily for his airports, starting with Charles-de-Gaulle in Paris – Roissy, opened in 1974, and also including airports in Bordeaux, Nice, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Dar es Salaam, Point-à-Pitre and many more all over the world.
