Devoto makes handmade custom-designed furniture in the Czech Republic, specialising in furniture for children and putting a story into everything they design. Here, for example, they have created a room for an aspiring young crane operator.

Devoto created a bedroom with a miniature crane

A whole room decorated by Devoto, a small Czech firm that makes hand-made custom-designed furniture. Like all Devoto projects, the room was created and evolved on the basis of a story, which can be explained in a question: when you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? The person who lives in this room wants to be a crane operator.

The space is dominated by clean, simple lines. The back of the room is decorated with horizontal white and blue stripes, joined, of course, by a crane. The crane appears in three different forms, first as an illustration, then as a lamp, and finally as a toy.
The whole room is dominated by the bed in the middle of the room. An illustration above it shows a sky full of clouds, which are actually sheep, hanging from the crane.
But the best part of the design is the toy: an exact copy of a real crane, capable of operating in four directions, rotating 360°, lifting weights and moving all around the room.
