Iris Ceramica Marmi 3.0 for today’s floors and walls

The contemporary home has been redesigned in recent years in a number of new directions, particularly the aspects of space and objects.

Surfaces play a very important role in both cases. In the case of space, the many ceramic modules, particularly those offered by through-coloured porcelain, have amplified expressive potential thanks to the increasingly vast range of maxi-slabs, mosaics and decorative pieces available today, with a maximum focus on customisation of spaces in the home. 

Numerous architectural experiments have been conducted in space, for instance by eliminating all forms of interference between different areas, amplifying continuity between indoors and outdoors, and underlining apparently secondary details with original use of light sources and optimal laying of maxi-slabs to amplify the sensation of perceived space.

At the same time, the colours and effects of porcelain have made surfaces into true objects of design, while maintaining their fundamental role as coverings. 

Porcelain is perfect for transformation into an item of decor for kitchen and bathroom countertops, steps, staircases and furniture, and for use around bathtubs and swimming pools, customising not only home interiors and exteriors, but all kinds of other settings, from business premises to public places.

Porcelain is an absolutely impermeable material, a structural property that raises its quality standards well beyond those of all other ceramic building materials, guaranteeing inalterability, resistance to stress, versatility and easy cleaning. 

 

What we are seeing today is a further evolution of the design concepts that have inspired the principal cladding styles over recent years, expanding the range of the best porcelain collections in terms of effects, colours, sizes, finishes and special pieces.

In strictly aesthetic terms, designers are increasingly looking to the classic covering materials of the past to determine the styles of the present and future.
This is the case of marble, traditionally an archetype of surface coverings all over the world, revisited and brought back by Iris Ceramica in the Marmi 3.0 collection of porcelain tiles.

The Marmi 3.0 collection includes 8 colours for floors (Black Pulpis, Brown Saint Laurent, Dolomiti White, Georgette Grey, Gioia White, Onyx, Venato White, White Machaubas), two surface finishes (natural and polished) proposed in different sizes and 8 colours of wall coverings (Black, Black Pulpis, Brown Saint Laurent, Onyx, Oro, Platino, Venato White, and White). 

From lighter to darker hues, Marmi 3.0 underlines the design of different projects with its veins making every single tile unique.

Unusual cladding solutions include the Oro (gold) and Platino (platinum) colours, offering an effective chromatic solution that fills spaces with light and can add prestige and elegance to a variety of spaces (from the bathroom to the kitchen and commercial premises); as well as diamond-shaped cladding materials, the geometry of which is underlined by the contrasts of surfaces and the glossy/matt veins, positioning them “in perfect equilibrium between the linearity of design and the naturalness of decoration”.
