In this article we look at an example of an architectural form common in the German-speaking world, in which several families live under the same roof and share a number of services without having to give up their privacy.
Communal living projects of this kind offer not only substantial economic and ecological benefits but an opportunity for social change.
It is also worth noting that the savings achieved by communal living projects can be invested in sustainable technologies and environmentally compatible finishes which become more effective because the facilities in question are shared by two or more families. Social life plays an important role in multi-family homes, and is in some cases the foundations of co-operative living projects, especially in rural areas, with mutual aid ranging from childcare to car-sharing.
An innovative form of dwelling such as this offers the perfect opportunity to use Active porcelain stoneware, strong, hygienic floor and wall tiles with ANAB and LEED certification for building biology.
The vast range of choices is the only threat to the future tenants' peace of mind!
