During the 14th Annual CTBUH International Best Tall Building Awards Symposium, celebrated 12th November at the Illinois Institute of Technology of Chicago, the Awards' jury selected Bosco Verticale by Italian architect Stefano Boeri as 2015 Best Tall Building Worldwide.



Bosco Verticale: Best Tall Building Worldwide

The jury of The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) has named the overall winner of 2015 Best Tall Building Worldwide, the highrise Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest) designed by Italian architect Stefano Boeri and built in Milan, Italy.

The award Best Tall Building Worldwide has been assigned to what is considered the best highrise in the world after a long selection period with 123 buildings representing 33 different countries all over the world. During the first phase of selection there have been named the winners of every geographical region thus reducing the finalists to only 4 buildings: One World Trade Center, New York.,USA, CapitaGreen, Singapore; Bosco Verticale, Milan, Italy; Burj Mohammed Bin Rashid Tower, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
During the evening other awards have been assigned: the Urban Habitat Award to recognize the Hotel Parkroyal on Pickering in Singapore by WOHA Architects, the 10 Year Award to Santiago Calatrava for the Turning Torso in Malmö, Sweden, the Performance Award for the Chifley Tower in Sydney and the Innovation Award to HOLEDECK® for the company's coffee concrete slab solution.
