Merkurhuset in Gothenburg by the OLSSON LYCKEFORS studio, between present and past

Ivrea reopens its doors: Welc-Home to my House 2023

Once again this year, Ivrea - the industrial city of the 20th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site - opens its doors for visitors to marvel at Olivetti’s architecture, with involvement from local citizens and a media partnership with Floornature. There are two weekends available - 23/24 September and 30 September/1 October - as well as days dedicated to photography and architecture on 22 and 30 September respectively.

Josep Ferrando Architecture and Gallego Arquitectura, transformation of a prison in Reus

Josep Ferrando Architecture, in collaboration with Gallego Arquitectura, worked on the renovation of the former prison in Reus (Tarragona). The complex, built in 1929 and classified as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest, included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia, has been transformed into the El Roser Social Centre. It is one of the finalists in the Architecture category of the FAD 2022 Awards.

Launch of the sixth edition of The Architecture Drawing Prize

For the sixth time, The Architecture Drawing Prize has been launched to highlight the pictorial side of architecture in its manual, digital, and hybrid forms. This year, the prize in partnership between Make Architects, Sir John Soane's Museum in London, and the WorldArchitecture Festival (WAF) has the sponsorship of Iris Ceramica Group, and Floornature is the European media partner.

The complex is nestled in an existing cove formed by the surrounding landscape and vineyards, linking the wine experience with the place where the grapes are grown.

Droogbak building in Amsterdam, a perfect fusion of past and present

A historic 19th-century building near Amsterdam Central Station, the Droogbak, has been transformed into a contemporary office space. Commissioned by Allianz Real Estate, the KCAP architectural firm, together with the ABT consulting engineers, carried out the spatial transformation of the listed building. The interior design of the structure that houses the Clifford Chance law firm was completed by Fokkema & Partners.
