La Manera gastrobar by Masquespacio The latest design project by Masquespacio - the Spanish creative consultancy established by Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse crafts a warm, friendly ambience where you can drop in night or day for breakfast or cocktails and anything else in between and enjoy the natural feel materials and the top-notch food and drinks.

Right now, natural is the way to go. This trend combines a desire for simplicity with bona fide places and flavours. And it certainly isn't synonymous with minimalism, as we can see in the latest creation by Masquespacio in Valencia called La Manera.
La Manera is a “gastrobar”, open from breakfast in the morning through to cocktails at night. The hospitality concept is based on top quality food and drinks that bring to light the essence of the natural ingredients.
And all kudos to Ana Milena Hernandéz Palacios and Christophe Penasse who have gutted and completely revamped the existing premises to craft their interior design solution with care and love for details, providing a tangible interpretation of this culinary approach. A design choice that is manifested in the way they have emphasised the original materials. Masquespacio scraped away the paint on the walls to expose the bare bricks, which have more of an industrial feel than rustic, and skillfully filled in the gaps with metal pieces coated with a rusty finish. The rusty metal look is also used in the furniture, from the chair frames to some of the cupboards, in a pleasing contrast with the pink and blue cushions that provide a visual counterpoint to the brown leather used on the bench seating.
Indoor plants like Pothos (Scindapsus) and Kentia palm add green accents that wind in and out of a lattice wall, improving the indoor climate and complementing the natural mindset of La Manera where you can enjoy genuine foods in inviting yet sophisticated surroundings.
