House with sea views by Fran Silvestre Architects.
Spanish firm, Fran Silvestre Architects had to contend with an incredibly beautiful landscape on the shores of the Mediterranean. Their project is a streamlined, sleek response to the site’s environmental value.

Designing in a particularly spectacular natural setting was a challenge that the team from Spanish firm, Fran Silvestre Architects has clearly met.

After carefully studying the site, they decided to limit human intervention to the absolute essentials, trying not to alter the equilibrium of this unbelievably peaceful place.

So, the project exploits the lie of the land to keep down earthmoving work. Slabs of reinforced concrete were used to build the house, with the top level protruding over the edge and enjoying the breathtaking sea views, while the pool is located on a piece of flat land at the bottom level.

The whitewashed walls of the building contrast with the surrounding environments but at the same time are a reflection of it, and the residents can enjoy the nature and the views from the privileged position of this house on a cliff, without relinquishing any living comforts.
