Hotel Endémico. Sustainable holiday experience.

The architects from Gracia Studio designed Hotel Endémico, a complex in “El otro Mexico”, the Baja California wine region, of the Grupo Habita hotel group, which has always been attentive to how their facilities engage with both the environmental and the social context.



The Gracia Studio firm of architects is located in Tijuana (Mexico) and in San Diego (USA); it created the architectural project for Endémico Hotel, the new hospitality facility by Grupo Habita, characterised by its offers of responsible tourism.



Gracia Studio is known for its design process based on sourcing materials produced as close by as possible and for its use of local labour.





Committed to designing economical, modular and flexible buildings, the architects have designed twenty raised cabins to minimise the hotel’s footprint. These cabins are made from Corten steel and timber that will weather overtime, eventually blending in seamlessly with the natural landscape. Staggered among the boulders on a hillside in Valle de Guadalupe, they give guests a breathtaking view over the valley and the famous vineyards of Baja California.





Each cabin has understated, minimal furnishings as well as a private terrace extending outside the cabin, enabling guests to really reach out to the landscape. The hotel is located in a territory that does not just act as a backdrop but is the real star in this corner of the earth – known as “the other Mexico” – considered to be a true melting pot of cultures and traditions.
