Quebec City celebrates the tenth edition of PASSAGES INSOLITES, the famous public art festival promoted by EXMURO arts publics and presented by the city of Quebec. From 22 June through 9 October the city becomes a canvas painted with a grand spectacle of creative expression, displaying the work of 40 local and international artists in a number of venues.
An off-site exhibition organised by the Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) at the Hessenpark open-air museum in Neu-Anspach, to talk about an often forgotten theme, namely that of architecture in the countryside. Entitled "Schön hier", meaning "it's beautiful here", the exhibition explores how architecture can make a big contribution towards a better life in rural areas.
LAS, Light Art Space, is a Berlin-based art foundation that works at the intersection of art, science and technology. The foundation commissioned famous American artist Robert Irwin to come up with a continuation of the Light and Space series he began in 2007 for Kraftwerk Berlin, a former thermoelectric power plant. The experience is open until January 30.
Five years have gone by since the opening of Herzog & de Meuron’s Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. World-famous artistic duo DRIFT marks the occasion with the exhibition “Moments of Connection” at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg (MK&G), the biggest presentation of the duo’s work in Germany so far. The spring will also see the debut of the "Breaking Waves” performance commissioned by the Ebphilharmonie in close coordination with MK&G.
