Bled’s Eco-Village offers a comfortable, green camping experience

For those who wish to surround themselves with nature without harming the environment or giving up the comforts of home, the glamping experience at the Eco-Village in Bled, Slovenia is the perfect solution. Glamping, from “glamorous camping,” is just that, a camping experience that allows visitors to enjoy nature in a comfortable setting.
The Eco-Village is a secluded area near the lake, surrounded by trees. It includes several small, shingled wooden cabins made of untreated larch. Inside are beds with all-natural materials, including cotton, wool and linen, and a private bathroom. Because the cabins are extremely well-insulated and heated, visitors can enjoy this retreat year-round.

Numerous steps have been taken in order to preserve the natural surroundings as much as possible. No motorboats are allowed on the nearby lake, separate waste collection is available at the entrance and lawnmowers have been replaced by sheep, who are allowed to graze freely throughout the campgrounds, naturally keeping the grass trimmed.
However, guests are not entirely cut off from the outside world. Wireless internet access is available throughout the campground, and the cabins have electric outlets for guests to charge electronic devices such as cell phones and computers. Certainly an intimate, romantic green destination for couples and a wholesome environment for family fun!
