The best architecture clients

Vicenza is hosting the closing ceremony of the Dedalo International Prize for Architecture Clients now in its 10th edition. It is a unique award, as it also recognises the figure of the client (public or private) who has commissioned the work and his role in contributing to good architecture.

While waiting to discover the winner of the prize, we rediscover the projects published in Floornature that have won awards in past editions. In 2010-2011 Floornature presented BMW Welt in Munich, designed by Coop Himmelb(l)au, Wolf D.Prix / W.Dreibholz & Partners ZT GmbH and winner of the main award, and Mocak, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow, designed by Claudio Nardi with Leonardo Maria Proli winner of the ALA – Assoarchitetti award.
The ninth edition, 2013-2014, saw winners including the Sugamo Shinkin Bank Series (Tokiwadai, Shimura and Ekoda Branches) by Emmanuelle Moureaux Architecture + Design, commissioned by the Sugamo Shinkin Bank; the Salewa Headquarters by Park Associati – Cino Zucchi Architetti commissioned by Salewa – Oberalp S.p.A.
A special prize awarded by Graniti Fiandre, sponsor of the 2014 event, was given to the Corujas Building by FGMF Architects, commissioned by Idea Zarvos.
