Biography

• 1972-73 - Worked with Gregotti Associati studios.
  1976-81 - Worked on the editorial team of "Lotus international" magazine.
  1979 - Curator of an exhibition on "The instruments of design" at the 16th Milan Triennial. Edited publications: Mario Botta, Milan, Electa, Vittorio Gregotti, Milan, Electa.
  1980 - Worked with G. Aulenti and R Castiglioni on the winning project in the competition for L'aménagement intérieur del Musée d'Orsay.
  1981-85 - Moved to Paris to oversee the work on the Musée d'Orsay.
  1985 - Won the competition on invitation for the new French School rooms in Cour Carré del Louvre, inaugurated in
  1992 (cf. Le Grand Louvre. Metamorphose d'un Musée 1981-1993, Paris, Electa Moniteur, 1989.
  1982 - Worked with the director Patrice Chéreau; designed and conducted renovation of Théàtre des Amandiers (1982-83) and a film production centre with a set studio in Nanterre (1982-86).
  1984-88 - Worked with director Bernard Sobel on sets for productions staged in Paris and Berlin; designed and conducted renovation of the theatre in Genevilliers (1987-88).
  1985 - Curator of the "L'lmage des Mots" exhibition at Centre Pompidou.
  1986 - Curator of the "Créer dans le Créé" exhibition at Centre Pompidou. Curator of "Les peintres et le théàtre" exhibitions at the Papal Palace in Avignon.
  1987-90 - Taught design at Unité Pedagogique UP8 in Paris-Belville.
  1989 - Curator of exhibitions on décor held to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of Maison Christian Dior, in avenue Montaigne in Paris. Curator of an exhibition born out of his work with B. Fortier d'Architecture: "La Métropole lmaginaire. Un Atlas de Paris" in Paris.
  1991 - Curator of exhibitions of Géricault's works at the Paris Grand Palais.
  1991-96 - Planned and conducted architectural renovation of Italian House at Columbia University in New York.
  1992 - Curator of "Viaggio a Rossini" exhibition at Bologna's Musei Civici with M. Palli.
  1992-93 - Worked with the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris, directed by P. Fabbri, planning restoration of the institute's premises and holding temporary exhibitions (cf.: L'hòtel de Galliffet, Rome, Carte Segrete, 1994).
  1993 - Curator of exhibitions at the Rodin Museum on pictorial photography <.BR>1995 - Returned to Italy to work on a number of projects with S. Barozzi and S. Mandadori studios in Bologna, some of which are still underway, in San Donato Milanese, Sasso Marconi, and Budrio. Curator of two exhibitions born out of his work with B. Fortier: "Amate città" , Milan Triennial.
  1995-96 - Councillor for Urban Quality of the Municipality of Milan.
  1996 - Participated in the 19th Milan Triennial with an installation on his work in the Italian Pavilion.
