Biography

  • The team views architecture as a tool for making visions into reality.
    Crepain Binst Architecture includes 65 engineers, architects, interior designers and urban planners who all work as a single team. They describe their organisation as something like Piet Mondrian's BOOGIE WOOGIE, in which vertical and horizontal lines have the same importance.

    Jo Crepain was born in Bruges in 1950
    1973 - Architecture degree from Henry van de Velde Institute in Antwerp
    1975/81 - SILO co-founder and co-partner in collaboration with E. Hoecks, J. Mooens, S. Stals and G. Van looveren
    1975/83 - Teaches Architectural Design at the Ghent Academy
    1977 - Continues studying urban planning at the same institute

    1982/84 - Teaches Theory of architectural design at the Academy of Architecture in Rotterdam
