The winners of Next Landmark, Floornature’s international contest

Kevin Erickson and Elisa Minari are the winners of the first edition of Next Landmark, the international contest promoted by Floornature

The first edition of the Next Landmark international contest promoted by Floornature was capped off on 28th August by the Blue Party in Venice, an exhibition and event organised in the deconsecrated church of Patronato Leone XIII, close to the Biennale gardens, setting for the 13th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice.
 
The international jury participated in the awards ceremony for the winners and the special mentions. The “First Work” category was won by Kevin Erickson for Rope Pavilion, while the jury awarded special mentions to Estudio LT for Wine Cellar Home and Olga Felipe Ordis for Tortosa Cultural Center.
Elisa Minari won the “Research” category for “Habitachao para todos” and special mentions were awarded to Kuan Wang for Exhibition Center of Otog, Matteo Battistini for Blovstrød Town District and Mauro Barrio for SED - The Water Factory.
 
The contest attracted a great deal of interest as well as a multitude of entries, registering 292 projects from all over the world and with the aim of giving young designers and architects the possibility to make themselves known, Floornature also promoted an on-line contest for its registered portal users.
The portal community voted for their favourite project from amongst the forty finalists selected by the international jury: and the winning project was Subtracted Earth – A school for Gaza by Cristina Labianca and Alberto Menozzi.
