“Loose Ends” exhibition - Maria Giuseppina Grasso Cannizzo in Austria

There is an unusual exhibition on at the moment in the aut. architektur und tirol centre, the first Austrian exhibition of the work of Italian architect Maria Giuseppina Grasso Cannizzo.
The exhibition, curated by Sara Marini, was designed by Grasso Cannizzo herself, transforming the exhibition spaces at aut.

Inspired by industrial landscapes in Sicily and by the minimal approach characterising her projects, which are invariably mediated by the spatial properties of aut, the architect radically transformed the exhibition space.
Visitors can view projects built in Sicily by architect Maria Giuseppina Grasso Cannizzo and documented in the photographs of Hélène Binet and a film by Armin Linke while at the same time experiencing the architect’s concept of architecture firsthand. Immersed in a space created by the architect, the public is invited to hear, smell, touch and see architecture directly.
