Jesolo Lido Pool Villa technology, architecture and simplicity

Architect Jacopo Mascheroni reveals the power of minimal taste applied to prefabricated buildings: it took him only six months to build a beach house in Jesolo. The house has a timber frame to ensure flexibility in the event of earthquake and is treated to guarantee high energy conservation standards and prevent thermal bridges. Thirty-one centimetres of insulation around the perimeters, argon to fill the gaps in the double-glazing, photovoltaic panels on the roof and led lighting throughout the building are only a few of the energy-saving features of the home.

To optimise the use of space, as the building’s surface area is not very big, architect Jacopo Mascheroni decided to create an open space layout. The outdoor area is paved to minimise maintenance, as requested by the client. Two gardens of different sizes contain olive trees and a swimming pool, while a four metre platform roof provides cool shade in summer and an outdoor dining area.

The design of the whole building clearly reveals a desire to maintain a sober, simple style without giving up technologically advanced solutions.
