GG House by Tadeusz Lemański, Krakow

Polish architect Tadeusz Lemański designed a home of unusual contemporary design, the “GG” house, named after the shape of its main façade on the southern side of the building, which is designed to let in as much light as possible.

The home stands on a grassy slope just north of the Vistula River, on the outskirts of Krakow, Poland. Big patios offer panoramic views of the area, creating shade in summer and letting daylight into the house in winter.

The structure, supported by four pillars, has a simple shape which is made unusual by its many windows and creative arrangement of patios and balconies.
