European Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe Award finalists

The winner of the 2015 European Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award will be announced in May. The 5 finalists announced in February include one Italian project: Archea Associati’s Cantina Antinori.



European Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe Award finalists

The 5 finalists in the European Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award will be presented during the exhibition opening on May 7 and 8, followed by the 2015 awards ceremony.
The 5 projects shortlisted are:
the Kunstmuseum Ravensburg (Ravensburg Art Museum) by architects Arno Lederer, Jórunn Ragnarsdóttir and Marc Oei (Lederer Ragnarsdóttir Oei Architects),
the Museet for Søfart, better known as the Danish Maritime Museum, by BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group,
Cantina Antinori, a winery designed by Archea Associati, the only one of the 9 Italian projects nominated for the prize to be shortlisted,
Filharmonia Szczecinska (Philarmonic Hall Szczecin) by Alberto Veiga and Fabrizio Barozzi, and, finally, the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre LSE by Sheila O'Donnell, John Tuomey and Willie Carey.
The winner will be announced at a special event scheduled for May 8 at the famous Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona.
