The architecture firm Brooks + Scarpa wins the 2014 National Design Awards

The National Design Awards were launched in 2000 as an official project of the White House Millenium Council to create awareness of the importance of design, honoring excellence, innovation and achievement in American Design.
The ten jury-selected categories (Lifetime Achievement, Design Mind, Corporate & Institutional Achievement, Architecture Design, Communication Design, Fashion Design, Interaction Design, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture and Product Design) are joined by the People's Design Award, a public vote as part of the National Design Week in October.
In the category Architecture Design the jury has awarded Brooks + Scarpa. The architecture firm from Los Angeles has been author of the Colorada Court Houses, first affordable housing in the USA to be LEED Gold certified. The combination of new aesthetic with sustainable and socially progressive design has always distinguished their innovative projects where creativity boosts the living quality experience of the users.

Floornature and Livegreenblog have featured several of their amazing projects: Studios Jigsaw, Kimball Art Centre, Rosa Gardens,  PIIT, Orange Grove, Hall of Justice, Green Dot Animo Leadership High School .
