Thank You Milano exhibition - Angelo Micheli and Nora De Cicco

Thank you Milano - 12 faces + 12 maps is the title of an exhibition in which two architects Angelo Micheli of Cremona, and Nora De Cicco of Naples pay homage to the city of Milan, represented through "sentimental" drawings of faces and maps.
Gianni Biondillo uses this adjective to define Micheli and De Cicco’s work, because what the two architects represent is their sentimental and emotional relationship with the city of Milan.
The maps drawn by Nora De Cicco do not reflect true proportions and scale, and are not the classic maps architects draw; they represent real places but also digressions of memory, revealing emotional places, with architects and designers as its key landmarks.
Angelo Micheli’s works are also maps, but in a more “cryptic” sense; to quote Gianni Biondillo again: portraits as metaphors of a commuter’s trip from the province of Cremona to Milan. Portraits of readers absorbed in their books, met by chance and observed for the duration of the trip, portrayed on big boards and completed with bits cut from magazines and newspapers, like the tiles of a mosaic.
