From the Earth to the Moon: imaginary buildings and landscapes on paper

Presented by the studio of Stefania Miscetti and curators Simona Galateo and Emilia Giorgi, the exhibition Dalla Terra alla luna architetture e paesaggi immaginari su carta ('From the Earth to the Moon: imaginary buildings and landscapes on paper') is an invitation to address a theme that has always accompanied the profession of architect: designing imaginary architectural and urban scenes.
Five international architectural studios were invited to participate: 2A+P/A and Fabio Alessandro Fusco from Italy, Map Office from France, Raumlaborberlin from Germany and, in Italy for the first time, the young Brazilian architects of Miniatura from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The title, inspired by Jules Vernebook From the Earth to the Moon, not only provides inspiration for these imaginary visions but evokes the infinite number of possible settings for architecture.
The narrative intent is underlined by the story accompanying the architectural and urban scenario, designed specifically for the occasion.
Through these paper buildings, the exhibition represents the power of intellectual processes and the visions they produce, of architectural design as a tool for study of design and reflection on the real world.
