Floornature and SpazioFMGperl'Architettura at Fuorisalone 2014

Simple elements forming an urban garden that’s going viral on the web: a rectangle of green lawn, 4 monolithic walls covered with maxi ceramic tiles from Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti’s Onyx series, 3 hammocks in warm hues recalling Africa form the Floornature installation (designed by architect Paolo Schianchi) at SpazioFMGperl'Architettura for Fuorisalone 2014.
The installation concept is linked with the exhibition Together. Le Nuove Comunità in Africa(Together: New Communities in Africa), curated by Luca Molinari, now open at FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti and Iris Ceramica’s gallery in Milan.

Together. Le Nuove Comunità in Africa looks at projects by Noero Architects, Wolff Architects, ASA studio and NLÉ to see how urban planning is experienced in Africa, where the sense of community is a key element.
This led to the concept of creating an installation that gets the public involved and creates “community”. A community that is real in SpazioFMGperl'Architettura but cross-references the “virtual” community of the SpazioFMG and Floornature pages on the social networks.
And the Floornature staff got it right: the coolest photo at Fuorisalone this year is a selfie taken on the hammocks at SpazioFMGperl'Architettura!
