Until September 28 Villa Noailles will host an exhibition of works by the 10 designers who competed for the award presented during Design Parade 9, a festival of design which included numerous meetings and events organised at the same time as the international competition for young designers.
On July 6 the judges announced the winner of the ninth contest. The first prize went to French designer Laura Couto Rosado, while designer Thibault Penven won the audience award and the award presented by the city of Hyères and designer Adrien Goubet won a chance to attend a workshop organised by Camper.
The project “Le Chant de Quartz” entered by contest winner Laura Couto Rosado is part of the designer’s research conducted in partnership with the Advanced School of Music of Geneva regarding the inherent musicality of crystals and the design of new electrical and acoustic musical instruments.
