Archilinea stand Fiandre at Cersaie 2014

The primordial essence of matter captured in tactile and visual sensations: this is the design concept Archilinea architectural studio developed for the Fiandre stand at Cersaie 2014, which closed on September 28.

On a floor covered with HQ. Resin Grey Resin 300x100 tiles, the focus was on blocks covered with Maximum marble tiles in the varieties: Calacatta Statuario Lev / Imperial White Lev / Calacatta Lev / Bright Onyx Lev, representing quarried materials. These apparently solid blocks actually had a specific function, as containers for offices used by the stand’s staff and customers.
The monolithic volumes are the key objects in the exhibition, which the public may view from close up or framed by big portals made out of slabs of polished Marmi Maximum Nero Supremo measuring 150x300, on the right, and Marmi Maximum Gold Onyx Lev measuring 300x150 on the left, while the two central panels are made of Quietstones Maximum in the sizes 300x100 and 100x100 the colours Quiet Numb and Quiet Sand.
With seats consisting of little blocks placed next to a countertop covered by Maximum tiles measuring 1 m x 1 m, Fiandre’s unit of measurement for architecture, the architects invited the public to stop for a rest and look at the blocks of quarried stone framed by the big portals. This meant that the visitor’s eyes create an effect of different perspectives which, by highlighting the quality of Fiandre’s products, clearly illustrate and re-establish the link between the finished product (the slabs on the portal) and the raw material (the block) used to make it.
