Maurizio De Caro

Architect, theoretician and architecture critic.

Studied in Milan (Faculty of Architecture, Politecnico di Milano) and London (Architectural Association).
Graduated from Politecnico di Milano with a degree in architecture.
Teaches aesthetics and territorial planning at Politecnico di Milano’s Faculty of Architecture and Society.
Currently working on a number of projects in Italy and abroad with Maurizio De Caro/Architects&Planners.
Built projects include the Cascina Gobba-San Raffaele Hospital light rapid transit system, the premises of the Exodus community run by Don Mazzi, reorganisation of Ravizza Park with the new “Palo Ambrosiano” lighting system and several residential projects, including two districts in Milan and Rho, as well as an important complex in Nova Milanese.
Author of more than twenty essays published by Electa,Fabbri Editore,Di Baio,Carte Segrete,Maggioli
Has written and continues to write for the newspapers and magazines Corriere della Sera, www.Affariitaliani.it, il Riformista, la Stampa, l’Opinione.

Sits on the Board of the Order of Architects, Planners and Landscape Architects of the Province of Milan.
Lives and works in Milan.
